On 11 May the indysource Members had the opportunity to attend a Live Roundtable Event with Fleur Bosland – Strategic Vendor Management at Royal FrieslandCampina, hosted by Wipro. We discussed the topic “Ecosystems, A New Partner Imperative”.

A few years ago, the concept of an IT partner ecosystem barely existed. Organizations worked with vendors, suppliers and service providers, selling products or services to customers and doing their best to outperform the competition. Partnerships were usually developed to leverage market synergies or benefit from capabilities outside their own areas of specialization.

Today, things are different. Enterprises have much more complex needs that are difficult for a single provider to fully meet, and therefore products and services must collaborate in ways not previously considered possible. This explains why, according to IDC research, 40% of large enterprises will have established formal ecosystem partnerships with technology providers by 2024.

Fleur Bosland talked about the recent vendor ecosystem strategy, explained their actions, the reasons behind it and some learnings. indysource partner Wipro participated in the discussion highlighting some of the actions they are taking as a vendor to stay relevant and be amongst the vendors of choice.
